It's Robot Sweatshop's big New Year's bash! Join Dan, Mike, Chris and some special guests as we discuss the best movies, comics and videogames of 2007.
And we're back again! Welcome to Robot Sweatshop's not-so Christmas (or other equally valid holiday of the season) themed Christmas Spooktacular! Dan, Mike and Chris tackle Total Films' Top 50 Movie Heroes list (and believe you me, 3 dudes tackling a piece of paper is not easy!) and more so-and-so and what-not. So cozy up by the fire, pour yourself some eggnog, and listen away.
We will return on Monday with our Christmas special, but in the meantime, here's (another) clip from a Christmas themed episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000. This one, however, is indeed from my favorite MST3K of all time, "Santa Claus," a horrible, horrible Mexican flick that mangles the Santa mythology in amazing ways. Plus, Mike and the Bots are in top riffing form here. I kick off every holiday season with a viewing of this masterpiece.
Sorry folks, but the demands of graduate school, work, DJing and the usual have prevented us from recording yet another new episode. We'll be back, I promise.
In the meantime, with this being Christmas-time and all, take a gander at this snippet from one of my very favorite episodes of Mystery Science Theater 3000, "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians."
And we're back! Robot Sweatshop returns with a slightly new format. We discuss what some superheroes would be like and/or do as "normal" people, Total Films' list of the Top 50 Movie Villains of all-time, and more. Hilarity ensues...or does it?
Sorry folks, but we took the week off cause of Thanksgiving family obligations. You know how it goes. But why not re-listen to one or more of our older shows? There could be no better way on God's green earth to spend your time. NO! BETTER! WAY!
Dan, Chris, and Mike's stand in, Anthony, discuss the flippin' awesome Super Mario Galaxy, videogame chairs, and the return of events and huge crossovers to comics. Plus a fresh new set of Recommended Recommendations and other assorted nonsense.
Bay Ridge's own Chris Bacolo -- the best there is at what he does (collecting Godzilla and Transformers memorabilia) -- makes his triumphant return to the show. Come on a journey of sensual delights as we discuss the best Wolverine comics of all time, Guitar Hero III, more Recommended Recommendations, and other junk.
We follow up the longest episode of Robot Sweatshop with the shortest episode of Robot Sweatshop. Join Dan, Mike, and Chris (Or is it? It isn't.) for tales of "How I Spent My Halloween," some "Days of Future Past" talk, and a little bit more.
Robot Sweatshop's Holla-ween Special, featuring our thoughts on Wizard Magazine's "21 Greatest Horror Movies of the 21st Century," our own Halloween-themed "Recommended Recommendations" for the week, and much more. Listen...if you dare!
Robot Sweatshop returns after one week off with a "very special" episode. Why is it very special, you ask? One word: Transformers. Lots and lots o' Transformers discussion. Buckle the fuck up. Plus "The Fly II" and more Recommended Recommendations.
Update 2: OK, I tried to fix it, and now the show is missing from the player altogether. I give up. So, if you wanna listen to the Episode 3, you'll have to either click the "Download This Episode" link below or listen at iTunes.
Update: The player to right is "chipmunking" the show (I know what the problem is and will fix it at some point). Click the download link below to listen at normal speed.
Chris eats some Halo 3-flavored crow, Dan talks about Banner Ads/Links, Mike tells of the mystical Jewish superhero, "Shalom Man", plus some ruminations on the new X-Force, Harry Potter, a fresh batch of Recommended Recommendations, and more. Now get listening!
