Elliott Smith Was Awesome

I've been listening to a lot of my Elliott Smith records lately -- From a Basement on a Hill and XO, in particular -- and it's strange. I've forgotten just how good he really was. Not just as a singer and songwriter, but as a producer as well. His songs had just enough on them to not sound like Robert Pollard's tossed off mediocrities, but not too much on them to sound dated to any specific time period.

Anyways, here's a killer cover of the Beatles' "I Me Mine" by Mr. Smith:

Update: Sick, Watching Hockey

Nope, it doesn't get much better than this. At home on a rainy day, watching the Rangers, the warm glow of a laptop keeping me company. That part is great. The sick part -- sore throat, light headed, and a cough -- sucks. So maybe it does get better than this.

Anywho, it's been awhile. Anyone out there? The podcast will probably return at some point. Otherwise, don't worry. We're all alive; we're just lazy.
